Homeowners are generally not technically minded, and often this vulnerability allows many technicians to take advantage of the situation. Call out fees can often amount to a huge financial lay out, with labour amounting to exorbitant levels.

There is no industry regulation on fees and working levels. As a result the standard of work for the amount charged has deteriorated greatly with no controlling body or corporation.

The public have a negative perception towards the plumbing and electrical industry.

As a result of the above investigation, HOME CARE 24/7 was formed. Our approach is to offer excellent service and integrity within the plumbing / electrical industry, coupled with the protection of an insurance policy and peace of mind.

THE HOME CARE 24/7 PRODUCT - THE COVER PROVIDED - COUNTRY WIDE                                     

We offer a unique policy that covers the following four areas of household maintenance:                                                         

ELECTRICAL FAULTS- In and around home, up to municipal connections (Up to 4 faults per claim.)                                         

PLUMBING FAULTS – In and around home, up to municipal connections (Up to 4 faults per claim)                                          

HOUSEHOLD MOTORS – Gate, Pool, Jacuzzi and Garage Doors (1 Motor per claim.)                                                          

HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES- Microwaves, Stoves, Fridges, Freezers, Washing Machines, Tumble Driers, Dish Washers. (No hand held appliances are covered.) (1 Appliance per claim)

ELECTRONICS- TV’s, Hi-Fi’s, DVD players, and VCR’s (1 per claim)

THE SERVICE PROVIDED                                                   

We have a 24 hour / 365 days a year call centre in operation, our infrastructure in terms of service providers is in place and we have one national telephone number for all problems and enquiries – 0861 10 17 10. One call can solve all plumbing and electrical emergencies. We can also customize telephone numbers to specific client identification.

HOME CARE 24/7 CAPABILITIES

Our 24 hour call center is running three shifts:

Monday to Friday:
Weekends and Public Holidays:
7am to 5pm
7am to 2pm
5pm to 10pm
2pm to 10pm
10pm to 7am
10pm to 7am

Currently our call centre seats 110 operators, all of which receive extensive training and assistance on product knowledge, customer care and claims handling.

The call centre is extremely productive, it logs a huge amount of occurrences on a daily bases to ensure client satisfaction. An occurrence is either a phone call made by the centre or a call received. Each one must be logged onto our system.

On our current system we are capable of handling 100,000 occurrences. Which can at any stage be increased to 1,000,000 if our clients needs dictate this.

We deal with claims countrywide, and have established stable relationships with all the Service Providers we utilize. Claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

All claims come through to our one national number. No claim forms need to be completed, as everything is voice logged for efficiency. A service provider is dispatched almost immediately or at the client’s convenience, as there are no time constraints.

No overtime rates are charged for weekend or public holidays.

Because of the uniqueness of our product, we are able to customize the product to suit individual clients. Tailor making it to accommodate particular needs and requirements.

All subsequent claims per annum  -  R280.00
